Le 22 janvier 2012, l'USPS (la Poste américaine) a augmenté ses tarifs. Le timbre pour une lettre normale vers l'international coûte désormais 1,05$. Voici une demi-planche de timbres correspondant à ce tarif. La photo représente un paysage du comté de Lancaster, en Pennsylvanie, connu des touristes sous le nom de Pennsylvania Dutch Country.
Notez sur le timbre la représentation d'un avion indiquant que la lettre partira par voie aérienne. Cela n'empêche pas ces timbres d'être vendus avec la vignette bleue AirMail classique.
